1:16-leave dorm room to go for a “let’s see how far i can go” walk.
Walk past Tompkins Sq. and down B Ave. cause i’m not tired yet.
1:58-2:08-Go all the way down Houston, and sit in the East River Park for a bit.
2:??-I get on the Williamsburg bridge! Awesome views and extremely serene despite cars, ambulances and trains speeding past.
2:50ish-I made the left into Williamsburg, I’ll visit Red Hook another time. Besides, i saw the Domino factory from across the river!
3:00- Salvation Army on Bedford.
4:01-I’m sitting in McDonalds catching my breath after taking Kent St. and winding up in Green Pt.
Even though i was horribly lost (i walked all the way down Manhattan Ave!) I felt really comfortable cause the streets looked so familiar from newyorkshitty.com it was cool to see polish stuff everywhere.
5:05- I finally get to Mc Carren Park and Bedford Ave!!!! It’s awesome. And there was a yellow football team playing and the whistle kept blowing in the background. Very much the ‘dog days of summer’ stuff.
5:30-McCarren Park is only a 10 minute walk from L train. And then i circled a bit and walked by artists and fleas (not open today). and apparently today is park(ing) day!. i didn’t sit.
6:00-I get back to Union Sq. and get dinner.

In total, i walked at least 12 miles. wow.
and now i sit. =)
